A popular Sydney bar that was one of the first in the city to be granted a small bar licence has announced it will shut its doors after 13 years. Grandma's in the CBD announced the venue was being kicked out of its location and will be forced to close on February 24.

Grandma's Bar, located on Clarence Street, said via social media that they will be closing at the end of February. The owners said that the building which houses the bar has been sold for redevelopment, and the lease will not be renewed.
